Position Description
40% - Works with business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes and mitigate issues as they arise between units through research and analysis. Resolution is typically well-defined.
20% - Facilitates transfer of information and problem resolution between business units. Provides supporting information and documentation as necessary.
15% - Analyzes business flow and reports to make recommendations to management for improvements in information flow and systems set-up.
15% - Assists with the development of formal recommendations for presentations to management.
10% - Serves as liasion between business unit and IT systems regarding project specifications.
Position Requirements
B.S. / B.A. degree in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, Business Management or related field - OR - Insurance industry knowledge and/or financial services industry experience is highly preferred.
Experience assembling, manipulating, and standardizing raw data.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint.
Ability to learn software packages quickly.
Ability to concurrently work on multiple projects and participate in assignments in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize initiatives to meet expectations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues to all levels of senior management.
Ability to think in a creative and innovative manner and continually evolve with changing business needs and conditions.
Holds self accountable for the success of the team and the department.
Must demonstrate strong ethics and ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and identities.
