Our business focuses on hauling freight for manufacturers, distributors, and other truckload shippers with dry or refrigerated freight. TransAm operates 1200 tractors with 2400 trailers and services the eastern 2/3 of the country, from the Colorado Rockies to the East Coast, and California.
We are hiring a Driver Recruiter in our Driver Recruiting Department at our corporate facility in Olathe, KS. Our ideal candidate would be self-motivated with a positive energy, be able to work well in a fast paced environment and possess the ability to achieve results.
Job duties include:
Communicating with driver applicants
Explaining the job and benefits package offered by TransAm Trucking
Entering applicant information in the computer system
Working and qualifying applications
Processing high volumes of time sensitive information
Scheduling drivers for orientation
This job requires:
Strong communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
Attention to detail
Computer knowledge
Strong organizational skills
This is a full-time position with daytime hours and rotating Saturday work. Previous phone or sales experience is preferred. Transportation experience not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
