The Business Intelligence Developer will meet with multiple business stakeholders to capture requirements, design and synthesize datasets, build and maintain reports and perform regular and ad-hoc data-extract and data-maintenance duties. You will leverage a variety of technologies to continually improve the accuracy, usage and efficiency of our data and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop reports and dashboards for internal business partners. Create and maintain report documentation. Communicate requirements and project progress to business leaders clearly and concisely. Perform data extraction, cleansing and wrangling on diverse data sets from internal and external sources. Perform testing and dataset reconciliation to ensure reports are correct before publishing. Facilitate scheduling of reports. Primarily use Microsoft tools and languages:
Power BI, Power Query, SQL, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), DAX. Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation. Participate in project meetings. Resolve obstacles and issues with limited direction. Collaborate with fellow BI team members to move projects forward quickly. Monitor analytics and metrics results Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree. 1
years' practical experience with Power BI, SSRS, DAX and tSQL. Strong communication skills. Ability to document requirements. Working knowledge of insurance brokerage or sales workflows and systems an asset. Must be able to manage multiple projects. Agile/Scrum project methodology experience a plus.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Software Development, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
