Garmin looking to hire a Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist for Part-time/Seasonal work in Olathe, KS.
Direct and coordinate the Accounts Receivable/Collections staff for the purpose of conducting credit investigations and collecting delinquent customer accounts.

Maintain, research, and collect on all international customer accounts and assigned large accounts Make contact and release daily credit hold orders Process monthly customer statements on a timely basis Communicate with other departments (i.

Sales, Marketing) to resolve questions and problems Maintain monthly sales commissions Handle daily customer calls Maintain various spreadsheets on past due accounts, bad debt write-offs, non-sufficient fund (NSF) checks, and credit memos Submit delinquent accounts meeting specific criteria to attorneys and outside collection agencies Assign responsibility for collecting on past due accounts to collection staff Set up new accounts on mainframe system with initial and assigned credit limits and terms OTHER

Ensure that collection policies and standards developed are carried out consistently Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

years experience in Collections High School Diploma Must have working knowledge of spreadsheet software and mainframe systems Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills DESIRABLE
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Business or Accounting Prior supervisory experience This position is eligible for Garmin's benefit program.
