2 Year / Associate Degree Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum
Preferred
1 - 3 Years Minimum
Perianesthesia Nursing Preferred
Assessment (Minimum proficiency)
Critical Thinking/Reasoning (Minimum proficiency)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact Minimum Upon Hire
Healthcare Provider CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) Minimum 7 Days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Minimum 180 Days
Pediatric Advance Life Support or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course.
(ASC and Main PACU nurses only) Minimum 180 Days
Certified Ambulatory PeriAnesthesia Nurse (CAPA) Preferred
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) Preferred Key
Responsibilities:
Uses the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/plan, implementation, evaluation) to plan and provide individualized patient care
Communicate effectively with patients, family members, peers and other healthcare colleagues
Identify process issues that create barriers to effective patient care and provide feedback to potential resolution ideas
Be a team player who is also able to autonomously complete their expected duties
Exhibit excellent customer service skills, bed side manner and the ability to communicate and build relationships with the patient, patients family members and other colleagues Our Nursing Environment Includes:
