Assemblers (Electrical Assembly)
International manufacturer of power generation and distribution equipment in Lenexa, Ks is looking for highly skilled Electrical Assemblers. This position is responsible for properly mounting and assembling electrical components and wiring to ensure proper operation of electrical components according to electrical diagrams, customer and engineering specifications.
Summary:
Perform a wide variety of electrical assembly procedures using proper tools, materials, and documentation according to department specifications and practices.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Assemble power generators as required.
- Review, understand and follow electrical procedures, specifications, and other instructions for completeness.
- Safely and efficiently assemble generators and control components.
- Interpret electric specifications to determine component parts, assembly methods and sequence.
- Assemble and configure electrical parts.
- Properly utilize various hand tools, including power tools.
- Properly utilize precision and electrical testing equipment.
- Regular attendance and maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must have two-year Technical Electrical or comparative degree.
- Must have electrical experience. Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable.
- Must be able to use a volt-meter.
- Basic math skills. Ability to work with tape measure and hand power tools.
- Must be able to write & read English.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics/special instructions.
- Must possess good memory and problem solving skills.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to work with small parts.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Ability to follow specific oral or written instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Must be able to pass background check and physical and drug screen.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand throughout an 8 hour day shift.
- Position required bending, standing and lifting throughout shift as well of use of strong hand and eye coordination.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Hand/finger dexterity to grasp and manipulate small parts and tools.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in assembly position/ Power Generation environment a plus.
Occasionally duties may vary from above as deemed necessary by business conditions as required.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
