Position Description:
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient care, directing patient flow, and assigning staff on a daily basis within the respective department. The Clinical Coordinator works closely with staff, physicians, patients, and ancillary departments to assure care is provided in a safe, timely, and efficient manner and is performed in compliance with policies and procedures, standards and regulations. He/she is involved in monitoring quality improvement activities and working with individuals to improve the care provided. The Clinical Coordinator is involved in staff development and on-going education and serves as a resource and role model. The Coordinator demonstrates excellent clinical skills and maintains unit specific and general nursing competence.
Position Requirements:
Education:
2 Year / Associate Degree - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
3 - 5 Years Surgery experience
1 - 3 Years Previous leadership experience
Skills:
Required:
Verbal Communication and Organizational skills, Assessment, Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Customer Relations, Critical Thinking/Reasoning and Computer Systems (Excel, Word)
License, Registration and/or Certification:
Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of Kansas Upon Hire
Healthcare Provider CPR - (American Heart Association ONLY) Upon HireEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
