Compliance
Assess and determine compliance requirements for the SSC; such as global and local regulations, business requirements and AIG policies and procedures.
Assist establishing and maintaining management policies, procedures and programs to ensure conformance with all SSC compliance requirements.
Work closely with operational management in providing advice on the interpretation and implementation of compliance policies and in evaluating the compliance implications of planned business activities or process changes.
Provide guidance to business units and serve as an escalation point regarding policy compliance.
Audits (Compliance, Risk and Control Monitoring)
Conduct periodic compliance, operational and Information Security audits/reviews to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
Execute the annual audit plan for SSC. Plan and execute audits and reviews, including developing audit scope and programs, test scripts and drafting audit reports.
Oversee Corrective Action Plans (CAP) by monitoring CAP due dates, validating their implementation and performing status reporting to management.
Operational Risk Management
Facilitate implementation of Operational Risk Management Framework by conducting top-down risk assessment, Risk and Control Self-Assessment and operational risk exposure reporting.
Coordinate an enterprise risk assessment exercise with all areas of the SSC, summarize and prioritize risks to be addressed and assist developing action plans to mitigate risks.
Liaise with Auditors and Regulators
Act as a liaison for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations conducted at the SSC.
Support Head of Compliance and Audit Program by coordinating internal and external audits.
Business Continuity
Ensure compliance with AIG's Business Continuity Program Policy and Standards by preparing, maintaining and reporting required artifacts and coordinating periodic testing.
Management Reporting
Deliver periodic status reports to local and global management such as results of compliance, risk and control monitoring, audit issues and root causes, themes and trends and corrective action plan status.

years of experience in Compliance, Audit, ERM, Operational Risk, or other related assurance functions.
Understanding of risk and control concepts, including risk assessment, audit methodologies, RCSA and SOX.
Experience in Shared Services or Call Center environment and financial-services, and/or insurance industry is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in managing audits, identifying control improvements, creating and monitoring remediation plans.
Strong communication and meeting facilitation skills, including cross-cultural communication and relationship-building.
Must be able to work with management at multiple levels of the business.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and create and execute effective project plans with minimal guidance.
Experience in self-directed work environments requiring a high degree of individual initiative.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
Ability to work in team environment and lead projects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
